Kevin M. Green - Commissioner
Greensboro resident Kevin Green was named to the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission by Gov. Pat McCrory in February 2013.

Commissioner Green is vice chairman of the Friends of Greensboro Parks and Recreation Foundation and serves on the boards of the Greensboro Sports Council and of the Barnabas Network. He is past chairman of the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Commission and also is past chairman of the Greensboro Coliseum War Memorial Commission.

He is a Realtor, broker with Prudential Yost & Little Realty of Greensboro. He has served in leadership roles with the North Carolina Association of Realtors and with the Greensboro Regional Realtors Association. He entered the real estate industry in 1985 after serving for seven years as assistant golf professional at Greensboro Country Club.

Commissioner Green is a graduate of Greensboro College.
Michael C. Herring - Commissioner
Mike Herring was sworn in as a member of the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission in December 2015.

Herring is a former Chief Administrator of the ABC Commission who retired in December 2014 with 33 years of service, all at the same state agency. During his tenure, Herring played a strong leadership role in shaping many important aspects of alcohol policy that created efficiencies while increasing the Commission’s effectiveness with industry and the general public.

Soon after his graduation from NC State University, Herring started as a field auditor for the Commission on Nov. 1, 1981. Herring was promoted to head the Audit Division in 1987 and was named Assistant Administrator in 1993. He was named Chief Administrator in 1995.

Commissioner Herring and his wife Liz live in West Jefferson and are the parents of one daughter.
