The Public Affairs office of the NC ABC Commission serves as the central point of contact for the news media. Commission staff works with the news media to encourage public understanding of the state’s alcoholic beverage control system. We find the answers to the simple or complex questions that reporters are asking.
By communicating effectively through our website, annual reports, event calendar, news releases, and outreach materials the Commission provides easy public access to all of the NC ABC Commission’s services.
The role of chief regulator for all alcoholic beverages in North Carolina has put the NC ABC Commission at the intersection of public safety and fair commercial regulation since 1937. The Commission takes this role very seriously, and is grateful for the collaborative efforts of both law enforcement and the local ABC boards for their help in providing the best service possible to the people of North Carolina.
